These include Bachelor of Theology (B. Th.), Bachelor of Religious Education (BRE) and Bachelor of Church Music (BCM). These bachelor's programs are a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 years for regular students, and a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 11 contact sessions for part-time students. An exception applies to students who have completed courses from a previous course of study, depending on the hours credited for those courses. Candidates who are unable to complete their studies within the stipulated time will be withdrawn from the programme. Candidates seeking admission to the four-year regular programme or the six-contact session Part-time programme must have the general entry requirements plus the following:

 Bachelor of Theology

  • (Either) WASC, NECO or GCE with a minimum of five relevant credits, which must include English Language, in not more than two sittings;

  • In addition to “a” above, NCE with five credits in relevant subjects, including English Language;

  • (Or) Grade II with five credits/merits, including English Language

Candidates who meet the above requirements and have completed a diploma programme in Theology or Christian Religious Education in a school recognised by the seminary may be given credit for relevant courses passed at a level of “B” or above (to a maximum of seventy credit hours. An official transcript must be received directly from the previous institution (registered mail is suggested) before placement credit can be considered. And,

  • Candidates applying for B.Th. The part-time programme must have had previous theological training in addition to the above requirement.

Bachelor of Religious Education

Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language and Christian Religious Knowledge.

Candidates who meet the above requirements and have completed a diploma programme in Theology or Christian Religious Education in a school recognised by the seminary may be given credit for relevant courses passed at a level of “B” or above (to a maximum of seventy credit hours. An official transcript must be received directly from the previous institution (registered mail is suggested) before placement credit can be considered.

Bachelor of Church Music
