This program is for those called into the ministry who already have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, HND, or equivalent in fields other than theology.

All applicants to the seminary must fulfil the following general requirements:

• Be at least twenty (20) years of age.

• Provide satisfactory evidence of sound Christian character and a call of God to a Christian vocation.

• Be recommended by their church and three (3) other recognised Christian workers.

• Take and pass an entrance examination and an interview.

• Meet the academic requirements for entrance as outlined below.

• To be admitted as a Baptist, the candidate must have been a member of a Baptist church for at least two (2) years.

• Applicants who are awaiting results at the time of application must submit a photocopy of their entry ticket for the examination, showing the date and type of examination. The Baptist Theological Seminary, Kaduna, must receive all results before the applicant is invited to the BTSK entrance examinations.

Candidates seeking admission into a three-year regular programme or a five-year part-time programme must have the general entry requirement in addition to the following:

• Candidates seeking admission into this programme must possess a minimum of a degree or its equivalent from a recognised institution of higher learning.

• The applicant must have a minimum of second class lower classification (2.5) or better to be eligible. Prospective candidates will also be required to present a certificate and official transcript for consideration. Where this is not obtainable, a statement of results with the class of degree and NYSC certificate could be submitted before the required documents.

i. Candidates seeking admission into the part-time programme will attend a minimum of six contact sessions and at least two minimesters for elective courses.

ii. Candidates seeking admission into the three-year full-time programme will be required to attend a minimum of two minimesters for elective courses.

• It is expected that the candidate has the minimum requirement at ordinary levels as indicated for bachelor’s degree programmes.
