All applicants to the seminary must fulfil the following general requirements:
• Be at least twenty (20) years of age.
• Provide satisfactory evidence of sound Christian character and a call of God to a Christian vocation.
• Be recommended by his or her church and three (3) other recognised Christian workers.
• Take and pass an entrance examination and an interview.
• Meet the academic requirements for entrance as outlined below.
• In order to be admitted as a Baptist, the candidate must have been a member of a Baptist church for at least two (2) years.
• Applicants who are awaiting results at the time of application must submit a photocopy of their entry ticket for the examination, showing the date and type of examination. All results must be received by the Baptist Theological Seminary, Kaduna, before the applicant will be invited for the BTSK entrance examinations.
The Postgraduate Diploma degree is a one-year, fully residential study. The maximum number of years for the programme is three years.
Candidates seeking admission into this programme must possess a minimum of a degree or its equivalent from a recognised institution of higher learning.
The applicant must have a minimum of second class lower classification (2.5) or better to be eligible. Prospective candidates will also be required to present a certificate and official transcript for consideration.
Where this is not obtainable, a statement of results with the class of degree and NYSC certificate could be submitted prior to the required documents.
It is expected that the candidate meets the minimum requirements at the ordinary level as indicated for bachelor's degree programmes.
