All applicants to the seminary must fulfil the following general requirements:
• Be at least twenty (20) years of age.
• Provide satisfactory evidence of sound Christian character and a call of God to a Christian vocation.
• Be recommended by his or her church and three (3) other recognised Christian workers.
• Take and pass an entrance examination and an interview.
• Meet the academic requirements for entrance as outlined below.
• In order to be admitted as a Baptist, the candidate must have been a member of a Baptist church for at least two (2) years.
• Applicants who are awaiting results at the time of application must submit a photocopy of their entry ticket for the examination, showing the date and type of examination. All results must be received by the Baptist Theological Seminary, Kaduna, before the applicant will be invited for the BTSK entrance examinations.
Candidates seeking admission into this programme must possess a minimum of a degree or its equivalent from a recognised institution of higher learning.
• The applicant must have a minimum of second class lower classification (2.5) or better to be eligible. Prospective candidates will also be required to present a certificate and official transcript for consideration.
• It is expected that the candidate has the minimum requirement at ordinary levels as indicated for bachelor's degree programmes
