Candidates for the Diploma in Theology, the Diploma in Religious Education, and the Diploma in Christian Women Development (all three-year programmes) must fulfil all the general requirements. In addition, candidates seeking admission must have the following requirements:
(Either) WASC with a minimum of four credits in relevant subjects, with English Language;
(Or) General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) with a minimum of four credits in relevant subjects, with English Language;
(Or) Senior Secondary School Certificate or NECO (Ordinary Level) with a minimum of four credits in relevant subjects, with English Language;
(Or) The Grade II Teacher’s Certificate with a minimum of four merit passes in relevant subjects and a merit pass in English Language; and,
(Or) NCE with four credits in relevant subjects with English Language.
Diploma in Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry
This is a minimum of four contact sessions part-time programme. Candidates seeking entry must have the General Entry Requirements plus the following:
He or she must have had theological training at a recognised institution.
He or she must be a church pastor or pastor’s wife.
He or she must be recommended by his or her Church, Association and Conference. If the candidate is not a Baptist, he or she must be recommended by his or her denominational head and two other recognised Christian workers within his or her denomination.
Diploma in Christian Women Development
The programme will serve the growing number of Pastors’ wives who come with their husbands and have the qualifications for entry into the diploma-level programme, preparing them for service alongside their husbands. The purpose of the programme is to provide theological education for pastors’ wives and women leaders in the North who have shown interest in receiving higher training in women's leadership and ministry.
