GENERAL INFORMATION

If you believe God is definitely calling you into the ministry and leading you to enter the Seminary for training/retraining, you are to upload a brief typed statement about:
Your Conversion experience.
Your Christian experience.
Your Calling into the Christian Ministry
Your Conviction to enter the Seminary for Training/retraining
If married by native law and custom, the marriage must be regularised under the marriage ordinance before admission to the Seminary.
You will be required to attach every certificate or academic credential and official transcript(s) of academic records which you have. Without this information, your application will not be considered. Graduates of BTSK will have their transcripts prepared on request and on payment of the stipulated charge.
All non-BTS Kaduna graduates MUST indicate whether their schools/programmes are accredited or not. If accredited, the name of the accrediting agency MUST be indicated, and authentic documentary evidence MUST be attained. Without this information, applications will not be considered.
You will need to download and fill out testimonial forms. Note that you will need two (2) copies of the academic reference forms and two (2) copies of the confidential reference forms. Write your name clearly on the top line before you give them out to those who will recommend you. Give one of each of the following:

The Church where you are a member, to be filled by the Church Secretary and signed by both the Pastor and the Secretary with the official stamp after an official decision by the Church-in-conference. If you are the pastor, the document should be signed by the chairperson of the diaconate.
Your employer or former school head, which could include Headmaster, Principal, Supervisor, Personnel Manager or Head of Department.
The moderator of your association. If your pastor is your moderator, the associational adviser should fill the form.
Two persons in Tertiary institutions who must not be below the rank of Lecturer I for Master's Degree (M.A, M.Th., MRE, M.Phil.)or Senior Lecturer for Doctoral Programme (D.Min., PhD).
If you are not a member of any church of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, you must have an official letter of approval from your denomination before you can be considered for admission into the Seminary.
All completed forms and recommendations must be returned to the seminary by October 30th
The entrance examination takes place on the last Saturday of November
Interviews for successful candidates are held in February each year.

Give this to the Church you worship with regularly, to be filled by the Church Secretary and signed and stamped by both the Pastor and Church Secretary after a vote in Church in Conference [date of Church in Conference]. Mail to the Seminary before the application deadline. If you are the Pastor, the Chairman of the Deacons Fellowship could sign.
